Cloud computing is a term which is used to refer to the use of scalable, real-time, Internet-based information technology services and resources.[1] Cloud Computing is a nebulous concept that incorporates hardware as a service, software as a service (SaaS), utility computing, Web 2.0 and other recent, well-known technology trends, in which the common theme is reliance on the Internet for satisfying the computing needs of users, without them needing knowledge of, expertise with, or control over the technology infrastructure that supports them.[2][3] An often-quoted example is Google Apps, which provides common business applications online that are accessed from a web browser, while the software and data are stored on Google servers.
For many companies, cloud computing could be an interesting solution. But few companies do already have experience and profound knowledge on the technical challenges in order to be successful. Goal of this panel is to present companies that already utilize cloud computing for their businesses and present their experience with a focus on the technical point of view. The presentation and discussion aims to generate interest in the topic and reduce reluctance regarding the prospective utilization.

Ecommerce consists of the buying and selling of products or services over electronic systems such as the Internet and other computer networks. The amount of trade conducted electronically has grown extraordinarily since the spread of the Internet.

A large percentage of electronic commerce is conducted entirely electronically for virtual items such as access to premium content on a website, but most electronic commerce involves the transportation of physical items in some way.Ecommerce is to be considered the most important revenue source besides online-Advertising and becomes more attention since the advertising revenues are more or less stagnating ore even falling. But there is more than one solution and the technical challenges need to be considered.

The Mobile Web refers to the access to the World Wide Web using a mobile device such as cell phones, PDAs, and other portable gadgets connected to a public network. Such access does not require a desktop computer, nor a fixed landline connection. Services on the Mobile Web can include capabilities that do not exist on the traditional Internet, such as SMS text messaging.
Mobile Internet and mobile applications are announced to be the topic of the year 2009. To enable customers to access services and content wherever they are and whenever they want seems to be a promising idea. Especially location based services will be the big advantage of the mobile web services compared to the traditional internet. What does this mean for companies that believe can apply mobile solutions for their clients and partners? What will be technical challenge in this regard? The panel will present interesting companies that already offer or utilize mobile web services.

Application security encompasses measures taken throughout the application’s life-cycle to prevent exceptions in the security policy of an application or the underlying system (vulnerabilities) through flaws in the design, development, deployment, upgradation, or maintenance of the application.

Applications only control the use of resources granted to them, and not which resources are granted to them. They, in turn, determine the use of these resources by users of the application through application security.
